Koch-Sheras, Ph.D., is a practicing clinical psychologist and co-author of several books on dreams and couples, including “iLifelong Love” (2012), “Couple Power Therapy” (2006), “The Dream Sourcebook” (1995) and “Dream on: a Dream Interpretation and Exploration Guide for Women” (1983).
She has been practicing psychotherapy in Charlottesville, VA since 1975, is past president of the Virginia Applied Psychology Academy, the Virginia Psychological Association, and the APA Society of Media Psychology and Technology. She and her husband, Dr. Peter Sheras, also a clinical psychologist, have been married 37 years. Together, they founded the non-profit organization Couples Coaching Couples, which has supported couples in cities across the country for over 20 years.
Dr. Koch-Sheras received her master’s degree from Northwestern University and her doctorate from the University of Texas and has worked in state hospitals, university counseling centers, and private practice. She is a Community Fellow for the Brown College of the University of Virginia. Dr. Koch-Sheras is also a professional opera singer and watercolor artist.
